The recent Deloitte Global Consumer Tracker revealed some positive findings; namely that, despite current restrictions, consumers are still considering travel.
The survey found that:
- Consumers net spending intent over the next four weeks has seen a significant jump in March. Whilst it is still in negative value, the movement matches those since the summer last year when the first lockdown was lifted and hints at an increasing appetite to travel.
- Similarly, consumer intention to travel over the next four weeks increased 7ppts from -20% to -13%.
