The EU Pay Transparency Directive is a key step towards tackling and addressing the persisting gender pay gap across the EU. Key measures include greater transparency for job seekers, a ban on asking about salary history and EU wide gender pay gap reporting. For many organisations, it will require careful thought about reward and recruitment strategies, job architectures and whether any steps can be taken, before the Directive’s implementation date in June 2026, to improve their gender pay gap.
In the first in a series of webinars on this topic, Deloitte Legal’s Kathryn Dooks joined international colleagues to discuss:
- the Directive and how the new rules might apply;
- lessons learned from the US and the UK where similar measures have been in place for some time;
- the implications for Reward strategies in preparing for implementation of the Directive; and
- key points for undertaking a pay equity analysis.
For more information you can view the webinar on-demand and read our UK blog on the key impacts of the Directive.
If you would like to discuss the Directive in further detail and its impact on your organisation, please contact your usual member of our team, or Kathryn Dooks or Amy Douthwaite.
