Are you ready for the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023 (ECCTA)?

This landmark legislation mandates identity verification (IDV) for all company directors, Persons with Significant Control (PSCs), and Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) members with Companies House.

Companies House have announced the phased rollout which begins on 18 November 2025, with a 12-month transition period for existing directors, LLP members and PSCs. A voluntary period is currently available for those wishing to complete IDV in advance.
